Nicki Minaj has sparked rumors that she may attend King Charles’ coronation in May after jokingly offering to take Meghan Markle’s place at the historic royal event. The rapper made the comments on her Twitter account after Prince Harry announced that he would be attending the coronation alone. Nicki even adopted an English accent as she made a beeline for the Duke of Sussex, telling him, “You be Harry Potter, & I’ll be Hermoine.” The Starships hitmaker recently released a new single titled “Princess Diana,” named after Harry’s late mother.
Fank you. Proper excited, really. Yes, it appears there was one seat open right next to Harry. I rang his telly & said: “You be Harry Potter, & I’ll be Hermoine”

In a hilarious voice note, Nicki also pretended to be landing in England and asked if the Barbz could be waiting for her outside the airport. Her followers were entertained by her impeccable British accent, with one commenting that it was one of the best British accents they had heard from an American.

This is not the first time that Nicki has put on a fake accent. In 2021, she went viral after professing her love for former Prime Minister Boris Johnson on social media. She also sparked backlash at the MetGala after revealing that she had refused to get vaccinated against COVID-19. England’s Chief Medical Officer later criticized anti-vaxxers, saying they “should be ashamed.” Even Boris Johnson himself weighed in on the matter, stating that he preferred to listen to Nikki Kanani, a superstar GP of Bexley who appeared before the media many times advocating for vaccinations.
Nicki responded to Johnson’s comments, tweeting, “I love him even tho I guess this was a diss? The accent ugh! Yassss boo!!!” The rapper even went on to share a voice note, imitating a British accent and claiming that she was born and raised in England. Despite the controversy, Nicki’s fans still find her antics highly entertaining.
