Jen Shah Feeling "Healthy" After Completing Anger Management Classes in Prison

Jen Shah is feeling “healthy” after completing anger management classes in prison.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star, 49, started her 78-month prison sentence in February for her role in a fraud and telemarketing scheme. She recently completed mandatory anger management classes, and her representative, Chris Giovanni, said she is feeling “healthy.”

Shah told People that she learned a lot about anger and how to manage it in the classes. She said she learned that she can have the same activating event but get a different outcome by using the tools she learned in class. She also said she focused on “challenging unhelpful beliefs” during the coursework, which helped her feel “healthy.”

Shah said she hopes to use the lessons she learned in the anger management classes in the future. She said she will be carrying around her RSA worksheet in case she runs into conflict while in prison. She also said that she can’t control what others do, but she can control how she chooses to respond and react.

Shah’s latest statement comes after she reported to Bryan Federal Prison Camp in July. In March, she took to Instagram to share a journal entry she wrote during her first weeks in prison. She wrote about how she and another inmate, Kashana, “stuck together” during their first day in prison.

Shah’s statement is a positive sign that she is adjusting to life in prison. She is taking the opportunity to learn and grow, and she is hopeful for the future.
