Sarah Jessica Parker was “upset” after the details of Kim Cattrall’s cameo in the Sex and The City reboot And Just Like That were leaked.

In an interview with Sirius XM’s Radio Andy, Parker said she was “pissed” that the details were revealed and that it had “bummed” her out.

The details of Cattrall’s reprisal of the beloved character Samantha Jones were revealed via Variety’s May 31 report on the hit series. The report said that Cattrall had filmed a voiceover for the show, but that she would not be physically appearing in any scenes.

Parker said that she had hoped to keep the cameo a surprise for fans, and that the leak had ruined that. She said that she had wanted the scene to be “like fireworks” and that now it would “lack” that excitement.

Parker also said that she had wanted to keep the cameo under wraps to meet viewer’s expectations. She said that she wanted to make sure that fans were not disappointed when they saw the scene, and that the leak had made that more difficult.

Despite the leak, Parker said that she was still happy with the cameo and that she thought it was “really nice” to see Cattrall reprise the role. She said that the scene was a “happy” one and that it “says everything about their relationship.”

Parker also revealed that Carrie and Samantha “talk all the time” even though it’s not shown on-camera often. She said that Samantha’s cameo comes at a “significant moment in the series” and that it will be a “big moment” for Carrie.
