Shania Twain gracefully recovers after slipping on stage

Country music star Shania Twain took a tumble on stage during her concert in Chicago this weekend, but she quickly recovered and kept on performing.

The 57-year-old singer was strutting across the stage in knee-high boots when she slipped and fell to the ground. In a fan-recorded video, Twain can be seen laughing it off and yelling to the crowd, “Don’t be stupid Chicago. You know I love you!” before getting back up and resuming the song.

Twain later poked fun at herself on social media, responding to an article about the incident with a tweet that said, “I did stick the landing though.”

Fans were impressed with Twain’s resiliency, with many commenting on social media that she handled the fall with grace and humor.

“She’s a pro,” one fan wrote. “She didn’t even miss a beat.”

“That was the best graceful slip and recover,” another fan said.

Twain is currently on her “Queen of Me” tour, which supports her sixth studio album of the same name. The album was released in February.

The next stop on the tour is Monday night in Bethel, New York.
