Beetlejuice 2 film set burglarized in Vermont, iconic sculpture stolen

The film set for Beetlejuice 2 in Vermont was burglarized, and authorities are still looking for the culprit. The Vermont State Police shared a post on Twitter with photos of the sculpture piece that was stolen from the set of the movie in East Corinth.

The sculpture is a 150-pound piece that was one of Delia Deetz’s (Catherine O’Hara) creations in the original Beetlejuice film. The post also said that a lamppost topped with a pumpkin decoration was also stolen.

Police are asking the public to call them with any information regarding the burglary.

The sequel to the 1988 film is being directed by Tim Burton and is set to star Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, Catherine O’Hara, Willem Dafoe, and Justin Theroux. It is scheduled to be released on September 6, 2024.

This is not the first time that the Beetlejuice film set has been targeted by thieves. In 2016, a group of people broke into the set and stole props and costumes.

The theft of the sculpture is a setback for the production of Beetlejuice 2, but hopefully the police will be able to recover it soon.
