Selena Gomez and Francia Raísa have seemingly put to rest rumors of a feud, with Gomez posting a birthday tribute to Raísa on Instagram.
“Happiest of birthdays to this special human beings. No matter where life takes us, I love you,” Gomez wrote, alongside a series of throwback photos of the pair.
The post comes after months of speculation that the two had fallen out. The rumors began in November 2022, when Gomez referred to Taylor Swift as her “only friend in the industry” in her documentary “Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me.”
Raísa, who donated a kidney to Gomez in 2017, seemingly took issue with the comment. She commented “Interesting” under a social media post highlighting the quote, and she also unfollowed Gomez on Instagram.
However, Gomez has since suggested that the two have patched things up. In March 2023, she called Raísa her “best friend” during an interview for Apple TV+’s “Dear…”.
Raísa has not yet responded to Gomez’s birthday post. However, the fact that she did not unfollow Gomez on Instagram after the post suggests that the two are still on good terms.
It is unclear what caused the initial rift between Gomez and Raísa. However, it is clear that the two are still very close, and they are not letting any rumors get in the way of their friendship.
