Britney Spears' Sons Saddened by Wildfires in Hawaii

Britney Spears’ teen sons, Sean Preston and Jayden Federline, are adjusting to their new life in Hawaii after moving from California in early August. However, the boys have been shaken by the recent wildfires that have ravaged the island, killing at least 55 people.

“They are very sad to see a natural disaster tear apart their new neighbors’ homes,” said Mark Vincent Kaplan, Kevin Federline’s attorney. “There’s people in the area that are dying and having their homes destroyed, so it’s very traumatic.”

Despite the trauma, Kaplan says that the boys are still excited about their new life in Hawaii. “They love it there,” he said. “They had been there before they decided to make the move, but they’re very happy there.”

The boys are continuing their educations in Hawaii, with one attending school in person and the other working remotely with their Los Angeles school. It is unclear which child will do the in-person schooling.

Spears has not commented on whether she has concerns about her sons being in Hawaii during the wildfires. However, she previously said via her attorney that she was OK with her sons leaving their home state.

Federline and Spears have a 70-30 custody agreement in the DJ’s favor. Kaplan previously told us the exes had not “been exercising custody pursuant to the order — it’s sort of been what they agree to.”

Many fans believed Federline intended to move his family to Hawaii as a last-ditch effort to extend his sons’ child support payments since the law in the Aloha State allows for the funds to be made up until age 23 if the kids are enrolled full-time in an accredited college, university, vocational or trade school.

However, the father of six disputed those allegations, telling a paparazzo in June, “A lot of people say a lot of stupid things.”

Aside from Preston and Jayden, Federline shares daughter Kori, 21, and son Kaleb, 19, with his ex-fiancée Shar Jackson, as well as daughters Jordan, who turns 12 next week, and Peyton, 9, with his wife, Victoria Prince.

The wildfires in Hawaii have been devastating, and it is understandable that Sean Preston and Jayden Federline are feeling sad and traumatized. However, it is also clear that they are excited about their new life in Hawaii and are looking forward to building a future there.
