Former Mets ace Matt Harvey has been dumped by his girlfriend, model Monica Clarke, after he became “obsessed” with his new job in real estate.

Harvey, who retired from baseball in 2023, joined Newmark, a commercial real estate firm, as a managing director in May. He has reportedly been working long hours and neglecting his personal life.

“He just became obsessed with his new job,” a source told Page Six. “It just didn’t make sense overall.”

Clarke, who is the head of membership for the white-hot downtown club Zero Bond, had been dating Harvey for most of the summer. However, she reportedly ended the relationship after she felt like he was putting his job ahead of her.

“The two will likely continue to see each other often as Harvey is a frequent visitor to the Scott Sartiano-owned members club where she works,” the source said.

Harvey has had a tumultuous personal life in recent years. He was banned from baseball for 60 games in 2019 after admitting to providing his former LA Angels teammate Tyler Skaggs with Percocet. He also admitted to using cocaine and Percocet himself.

Harvey left the Mets in 2018 after six seasons. He played for the Cincinnati Reds, Los Angeles Angels, and Baltimore Orioles before retiring.

It remains to be seen whether Harvey can turn his life around and find success in his new career. However, his recent breakup with Clarke is a sign that he may still have some personal issues to work through.
