Zooey Deschanel and Jonathan Scott Celebrate Engagement in Paris

Zooey Deschanel and Jonathan Scott jetted off to Paris to celebrate their engagement.

The couple, who got engaged in Scotland over the weekend, shared photos of their romantic getaway on social media.

In one photo, the “New Girl” actress and the “Property Brothers” star are seen posing in front of the Eiffel Tower. Deschanel is wearing a blue leather jacket and a hat, while Scott is sporting a pale pink windbreaker and blue polo.

Another photo shows the couple beaming as Deschanel rocks colorful sunglasses and patterned scarf. Scott, meanwhile, is wearing a plain black tee and Ray-Bans.

The lovebirds’ European getaway comes just days after Scott popped the question to Deschanel during a family vacation in Scotland. The actress’ daughter Elsie, 8, and son Charlie, 6, were said to be involved in the proposal.

Deschanel revealed the news of her engagement on Instagram on Monday, along with a photo of her diamond ring. “Forever starts now!!!” she captioned the post.

The newly engaged couple met while filming an episode of James Corden’s “Carpool Karaoke” in August 2019. They confirmed their romance in October 2019.

This will be the third marriage for Deschanel, who was previously married to Jacob Pechenik from 2015 to 2020 and Death Cab for Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard from 2009 to 2012.

Scott was also previously married to flight coordinator Kelsy Ully. They divorced in 2013.
