A source told People that Bieber has been working on a new album, but Braun has not been involved in the process. “Justin’s been working on his new record for the last six months. Scooter and SB Projects have not set up one session or done one thing for this [new] record,” the source said. “The relationship with Scooter has run its course.”

The report comes after several other high-profile clients of Braun’s have parted ways with him in recent months. Demi Lovato, Idina Menzel, and Carly Rae Jepsen have all reportedly left Braun’s management company, SB Projects.

It is unclear what caused the rift between Bieber and Braun. However, some have speculated that it may have been due to Braun’s recent purchase of Big Machine Records, which owns the masters to Taylor Swift’s first six albums. Swift has been critical of Braun in the past, and some fans have accused him of “bullying” her.
