Olivia Rodrigo Debunks Feud Rumors With Taylor Swift

Olivia Rodrigo has shut down rumors of a feud with Taylor Swift, saying she doesn’t have “beef with anyone” and that she’s too busy with her own life to pay attention to social media drama.

“I’m very chill. I keep to myself. I have my four friends and my mom, and that’s really the only people I talk to, ever,” Rodrigo told Rolling Stone in a recent interview. “There’s nothing to say…There’s so many Twitter conspiracy theories. I only look at alien-conspiracy theories.”

The rumors of a feud between Rodrigo and Swift began after Rodrigo gave Swift and Jack Antonoff two songwriting credits on her debut album, “Sour.” Some fans speculated that Swift had demanded the credits, while others believed that Rodrigo had been forced to give them.

Rodrigo denied both of these claims, telling Rolling Stone that she was “a little caught off guard” by the songwriting credits but that she didn’t think she would “ever personally do that” to another artist.

“But who’s to say where I’ll be in 20, 30 years?” she added. “All that I can do is write my songs and focus on what I can control.”

Rodrigo also addressed rumors that her new song “Vampire” is about the alleged feud with Swift. She said she was “very surprised” when people thought that, and that she never wants to say who her songs are about.

“I think it’s better to not pigeonhole a song to being about this one thing,” she said.

Rodrigo’s new album, “Guts,” was released on September 8 to critical acclaim. The album has been praised for its honesty, vulnerability, and catchy melodies.
