Gwen Stefani Opens Up About Her Terrible Divorce from Gavin Rossdale

Gwen Stefani opens up about her “terrible” divorce from Gavin Rossdale in a new interview with People magazine. The No Doubt singer says her “life fell apart” during the split, and that she had to “literally start over again.”

Stefani and Rossdale were married for nearly 13 years and shared three children when they divorced in 2016. Rumors had swirled that Rossdale had cheated with their nanny, and Stefani has said that she went through “months of torture” during the breakup.

“When that happened, I had to literally start over again,” Stefani tells People. “It was a reset of my life.”

Stefani says she found love again with Blake Shelton in 2015, and that he “changed [her] life.”

“When I [started dating] Blake, that’s when I felt home, like, ‘Oh, this is where I’m supposed to be, with this guy,'” she says.

Stefani and Shelton got engaged in 2020 and married in 2021. Shelton is now the stepfather to Stefani’s three sons.

Rossdale has said that he and Stefani don’t “really co-parent” since they are “really different people” with “opposing views” from each other. He has also said that divorce is “one of the hardest, most painful things to go through.”

Stefani has called the breakup “months of torture” and said that it was “the beginning of hell.”

Despite the difficult divorce, Stefani says she is now in a good place in her life. She is happily married to Shelton and is focused on her music and her family.
